NOTE :- In the below Itinerary of Ladakh, please note that on Day 16 – – you are scheduled to visit town of Hanle. However as of now, Foreign Tourists are not permitted to visit this area being near the International border with China. However, local tour operators are expecting this restriction to be lifted. In case, this restrictions are not lifted AND IF YOU ARE A FOREIGN NATIONAL, than instead of Hanle, you will be spending 01 more night at Druk Resort, Tso Kar
Day 1:- Delhi – Leh, Ladakh By Flight
On arriving at Leh at Airport, meet our Representative/Driver and transfer to you Hotel.
Whole day for acclimatization. Dinner and Overnight at Indus River Camp, Leh
Day 2:– Leh, Ladakh
Local Leh sightseeing including Spituk Monastery, Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar/Indus rivers), Pattar Sahib, magnetic hills and Leh market. Depending upon how we take the high altitude desert, we can also explore the Zanskar side till Chilling. Overnight Leh. Dinner and Overnight at Indus River Camp, Leh
Day 3:- Leh – Hunder In Nubra Valley (120 Kms/5-6 Krs)
Drive to Hunder in Nubra valley via Khardung La pass (World's highest all-weather motor able road/5350 m altitude). En-route visit the sand dunes of Nubra. Dinner and Overnight in Hunder (3000 m Altitude) in Stone Hedge
Day 4:- Hunder In Nubra Valley – Tutuk – Tayakshi - Hunder
After a rather relaxed breakfast, take a trip to the village of Turtuk and then to Hamlet of Tayakshi, (depending on availability of Permits) the northern most tip of India which is indeed the actual LoC (line of control) between India and Pakistan which is the safest point in the entire LoC where a cease-fire is in place. Back to Hunder. Dinner and Overnight in Hunder at Stone Hedge
Day 5:- Hunder – Pangong (Merak)
Start early and drive from Hunder to Pangong lake (4400 m Altitude). We will be taking a newly built and more scenic route (180 Kms/6Hrs). Overnight on the banks of Pangong (Merak Village). In Merak village we can put you in a homestay, where they will get to stay and enjoy local homemade food in a local resident's home. In Merak we could spot birdlife including the great Crested Grebe, Bar headed Goose and Northern Shovelers. Dinner and Overnight at Peaceful Home Stayin Merak Village.
Day 6:– Pangong – Hanle*
Post breakfast, start to the remote village of Hanle. It is a place with one of the darkest night skies. ISRO has a space observatory station there and it is one of the best places to witness the Milkyway (our Galaxy). Dinner and Overnight in Hanle – Padma Home Stay.
Day 7:– Hanle – Karzok (On Banks Of Tso Moriri) - Aprox. 160kms/6-8hrs.
Drive from Hanle to Tso Moriri. Stay at the Village of Korzok on the bank of Moriri. Dinner and Overnight at Korzok at Rupshow Residency
Day 8:– Karzok
Full day at Karzok, exploring the surrounding. Dinner and overnight at Karzok at Rupshow Residency
Day 9:– Karzok – Tso Kar (Aprox. 80kms/03hrs)
Drive from Korzok to Tso Kar. Sighting of Black Necked Cranes and Kiang (Asian Wild Ass) is certainly a guarantee here along with sighting of Marmots. Dinner and Overnight in Druk Resort, Tso Kar.
Day 10:– Tso Kar – Leh (160 Kms/5-6 Hrs).
Drive from Tso Kar back to Leh En-route visit Hemis monastery (the largest and the richest monastery in Leh). Overnight in Leh. Dinner and Overnight at Grand Dragon
Day 11:– Leh – New Delhi Intl Airport
Board flight back to Delhi and on arrival in New Delhi, take your flight to onward destination.
